The project started off with the written text which was divided into page wise sections. The illustration process started off with conceptual sketches of sunbirds in different poses. Since its a small bird and its supposed to be a female, the colour were subdued earthy shades like a Vigour Sunbird found commonly in the Indian subcontinent.
