We for womenhood: Illustration for Women's Day

A commissioned work for Oxfam International for their 'Say Enough' campaign. It is a global movement to challenge and change the social norms, attitudes and beliefs that fuel violence against women and girls. The image below was made for their social media campaign commissioning artist from the global south also featured in Vice
The process started off with moodboard. Collated some images that depicts bonds and relationships. Hands were an essential element in terms of expression to show strength, power, togetherness and also care and support for each other.
Visualized images inspired out of moodboard to make portraits that represented women from various communities and walks of life. Added more details to the fits at the bottom to give more personality to hands. The initial sketches were then edited to add more finer details and edits for the final colored version.
