People Power & Change is a community handbook designed for the purpose of organizing and empowering people of the Nilgiris biosphere region (parts of Tamilnadu and Kerala), a commissioned project for Haiyya Foundation. The book contains 6 modules that take the reader through various nuances and importance of representing issues as a collective community to put forth their common goals in protecting their fragile eco system.
The project entailed discussions with youth leaders working for environmental campaigns and depicting their stories visually as an example to take inspiration from. It also included using icons and setting language for active recall for easy memorization. The scope was to illustrate stories and set visual language for complex concepts along with layout and designing into a proper booklet.
Three font were used to create contrast between serif (Libre Baskerville and Minion pro) for smaller font to be used as subheading and body text for better readability and san serif (Century gothic) for clearer and neat looking large font for headings.
Translated into Malayalam and Tamil scripts
